My wife, Gahlit, was born on April 25th, 1967 in Walnut Creek, CA. to Ali and Channa Eshett. Gahlit was an early bloomer – born after just 7 months in the womb. She came into the world on her own terms and lived every day and every minute to the fullest.
In the late Summer of 2007, shortly before our daughter Maayan’s first birthday, Gahlit was diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukemia (AML). If you ask anyone that knew Gahlit what her greatest passion in life was, they would answer being Maayan’s mother. Gahlit cherished each and every moment with Maayan and was the proudest mother in the world. This is obvious from the videos shared in this website.
Gahlit loved to travel and explore, and she loved so dearly her friends of which she had so, so many. It is no secret Gahlit demanded the best – and this was especially true of herself. She literally got everything she possibly could out of every single day she lived.
Gahlit passed away at the hands of AML in October 2009 at the age of 42. Although she left this earth way too early, she lived a life that most people who live to be 100 can only dream of living. Gahlit will live in all of our hearts forever, and we know she will be the brightest star in the sky.
